When starting out as a new agent, one of the first things you want to do is inform your sphere of influence that you are a licensed real estate agent. If none of them are in the market to buy or sell, hopefully somebody they know is and they can refer them to you. Also, always remember to wear your nametag. Whether you are going to church or to the grocery store you never know when you will have the chance to share your real estate knowledge and get some new clients. Another way that realtors get clients is through their hub and spokes. The hub being their website and the spokes being their social media platforms. As a realtor your online presence is vital. All your social media platforms should lead back to your website. Once people are there, you should have a way to capture their information to plug into your CRM (Customer Relationship Management). Following that, you should get them on a drip marketing campaign so that ultimately when they are ready to buy or sell, they come to you. You want to come across as an expert in your area and be at the front of people’s minds when they are ready to buy or sell. Another way that realtors get clients is by calling FSBOs (For Sale by Owners) and expired listings. FSBOs are a bit harder because you need to be able to show the homeowner why working with a realtor would be more beneficial than selling the home themselves. For expired listings, you know that the homeowner was open to working with an agent however the previous agent could not get the job done. How do realtors get clients? By following the simple tips and tricks above and the right mindset, you could be well on your way to becoming a top producing agent in your area.
